Since 1951, the Government established National Nutrition Day on 25 January. And the importance of nutrition in life has been introduced by Prof. Dr. Gizi Indonesia Prof. Poorwo Soedarmo. Professor Poorwo who was then appointed Minister of Health Doctor J Leimena to head the People's Food Institute (LMR).
Nutrition is a substance as a component of the builder or builder of the human body in order to maintain & repair the body's tissues so that the function of the human body itself can run properly. Ignoring or ignoring the intake of nutrition means we let our body tissue functions do not work optimally. Foods that are diverse are foods that contain nutrients the body needs. Both in quality and quantity. In the nutrition lesson commonly called triguna food, that is food containing energy substance, builder and regulator substance. In other words, eating diverse foods will ensure the fulfillment of adequate sources of energy, building materials and regulating substances.
Wheat flour, is one of the foods that are also rich in nutrients and can be processed to become diverse food. Such as bread, noodles, market snacks, pastries, cakes and much more. In Indonesia, PT Indofood Tbk Bogasari Division, is the first wheat flour producer. The first factory operated in Tanjung Priok, on 29 November 1971. Until now, Bogasari already has 4 factories namely Jakarta, Surabaya, Bekasi, and Tangerang.
In its journey, Bogasari is also the first wheat flour producer that has fortified product with vitamin in the form of iron nutrient. Precisely since January 14, 1999. This is in accordance with the motto "Bogasari Turut Mmbangun Nation Nation". Even 3 years earlier, November 29, 1996, Bogasari achieved ISO 9002 Certification Version 1994 for Quality Standard, which is now known as ISO 9001 version 2015.
Bogasari has also obtained SNI 3751 SNI Marking Product Certificate 2006 from ABI-Pro Agro Industry Center, currently known as SNI 3751 version 2009. First published SNI is Bogasari 20 September 2007. By having SNI Certificate Bogasari flour is certain to have been long has a nutrient content of Vitamin B1, B2, Folic Acid, Iron, and Zinc.
In addition to the above nutrient content, Bogasari flour in premium 1 kg packs with Twin Cakra, Blue Triangle, and Blue Key, is the first flour in Indonesia that has additional nutrients namely Vitamins A, B3 and D3. On this commitment, on June 25, 2013, Bogasari won the Food Innovation Product Awareness on Food Nutrition from Indonesian Food Nutrition.
Bogasari's concern for nutrition is not only through the products it produces. Bogasari also performs real actions to the public from education to corporate social responsibility (CSR). The current on-going CSR program is the Posyandu Mandiri Empowerment Program in Lagoa and Kalibaru Sub-district, North Jakarta. This program will run for 5 years starting from 2016 with one of the main focuses is the BGM Underfive Reduction (Under the Red Line).
